Evidence on Iran doesn't seem to matter

How can you bomb a country, or even impose serious sanctions on it, if the head of the IAEA won't accuse it of seeking nuclear weapons?

Well, you can if you really want to. It was the same Mohammed ElBaradei who reported to the United Nations Security Council on Feb. 14, 2003, that "We have, to date, found no evidence of ongoing prohibited nuclear or nuclear-related activities in Iraq." The United States and Britain insisted that their intelligence said otherwise, Iraq was duly invaded, and nobody even apologized when no "prohibited nuclear or nuclear-related activities" were found.

Bush is starting to wave "Al Qaeda" around to try to start yet another war. But the vast majority of Al Qaeda turn out to be agents working for certain intelligence agencies.

More about a fake Al Qaeda.

Iraq reporter faces terror charge
The Pentagon says additional evidence has come to light proving Bilal Hussein is a "terrorist media operative" who infiltrated the news agency.

Translation: "If you don't report the news the way WE want it reported, YOU'RE A TERRORIST!"

Bin Laden to air message to Europeans: Qaeda media
The message has been produced by As-Sahab, the multimedia arm of Al-Qaeda, it said, without giving a date for the message or specifying if an audiotape of video was to be broadcast.

As-Sahab, the multimedia arm of Al-Qaeda, is the brainchild of Adam Gadahn, who also "stars" in many of the tapes they produce.

Adam Gadahn's real name is Adam Pearlman, and he is the grandson of a board member of the ADL, and he has been playing "American Al Qaeda" for the media for years now.

Given that the real Osama died in 2001, and that all subsequent tapes of him are either re-edits of older tapes (hence the "Grecian Formula" beard seen last time) or outright fakes.

Many Americans still believe in conspiracies

Another psycho-babble filled tirade about why we should ignore the obvious facts and trust the government to tell us what to think.

Seven Countries Considering Abandoning the US Dollar

It's no secret that the dollar is on a downward spiral. Its value is dropping, and the Fed isn't doing a whole lot to change that. As a result, a number of countries are considering a shift away from the dollar to preserve their assets. These are seven of the countries currently considering a move from the dollar, and how they'll have an effect on its value and the US economy.

Iraqi children bear the burden of an uncalled-for war

Looking at photos of Iraqi children maimed by the war makes the conflict unforgettable. Reflecting on the causes that led to that war makes it unforgivable. Slowly but steadily new information is coming out on the effects of the war on children, and how it has affected not only their health but also their quality of life and prospects for the future.

One child dies every five minutes because of the war, and many more are left with severe injuries. Of the estimated 4 million Iraqis who have been displaced in Iraq or left the country, 1.5 million are children. For the most part, they don't have access to basic health care, education, shelter or water and sanitation. They carry on their shoulders the tragic consequences of an uncalled for war.

The US attack and occupation of Iraq was never about "bringing freedom and democracy" to the people of Iraq and their well-being: it always was, and will be, about the oil.

PEACE NOT ON AGENDA AT ANNAPOLIS 'PEACE SUMMIT'
Israel already has what it wants... it has Palestine! The present government has made it very clear by recent actions that it has no intention of giving it back to its rightful owners. The biggest evidence of this is that there will not even be one official representative in attendance that

Military training program for teens expands in US Military training program for teens expands in US
While military officials say the junior reserve programs are not used as recruiting tools, about 30 to 50 percent of cadets eventually enlist, according to congressional testimony by the chiefs of staff of the various armed services in February 2000.

This is particularly troubling given that the programs are concentrated in low-income and minority neighborhoods, said Sheena Gibbs, a spokeswoman for the Chicago branch of the American Friends Service Committee which lobbies against the programs.

-----------------------------------------------
Of course, these programs are concentrated in low income and minority areas: it's not the affluent who are expected to fight, get maimed, and die in this country's wars, just the kids who almost have no other way out of their circumstances.
